NEW ROSS - Nina D. Evans, 84, died about 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Rudisill Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for three years. Born Sept. 12, 1874, near New Ross, she was the daughter of George and Docia Jessie Dorsey. In 1893 she married the late William E. Evans. She was a member of the New Ross Methodist Church and the DAR. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by the husband in 1942, and a daughter, Allie Lee, in 1919. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the New Ross Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth A. Fineran officiating. Friends may call after 7 p.m. at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour preceding the services.
